Course Purpose

Our Advance Wireline course is developed to provide detailed in-depth technical and practical level knowledge of wireline operation in order to apply to the oil and gas industry. This course focuses on the wireline conveyance and intervention methods with a balanced approach on actual operation
aspect for both engineer and operator positioning.

Course Objective

On completion of this course the participant will be able to:

• Effective Operation: Plan effective operation by understanding the techniques of the
  equipment and the use of equipment before the operation works
• Improve Work Efficiency: Improve the effectiveness of slick line operations via accurate
  identification of the problems causing a fishing job
• Improve the Effectiveness of Braided Line Fishing: Improve the effectiveness and efficiency
  of braided line fishing during the operation by learning how to use braided line equipment
  in a correct techniques
• Learn the Latest Technology: Improve the effectiveness of slick line and braided line fishing
  operations by learning the new technology for surface units for fishing and new technology
  for Downhole tools

• Jarring with downhole tools
• Types of services performed on slickline and their problems causing a fishing job
• Braided line equipment

• Workshop: Scenario based Drop Discussion

New Technology & Case Studies

• Slickline and Braided line fishing (Continued)

New Technology and Case Studies (Inquiry Based Learning Workshop)

• Class is variable and can cover any subject related to fishing with exception of the
  covered cases on this day, subject to time availability.
• Rest of time spent on attendees’ sharing of unsuccessful fishing jobs
• Discussion on fishing scenarios
• Review and discussion session from all the above information

Course Recipient

This course is suited for personnel involved in Well Intervention and Work over operation, and who are moving up to an advanced level of slick line or whom are presently in an advanced capacity.
